About: My name Is Tanya Chacon I am a personal trainer and I am very passionate about what I do. I have been involved in athletics for most of my life and was a softball athlete for 16 years, most currently being a member of CSU San Bernardino softball program. Growing up I was faced with many issues of body image and was able to overcome eating disorders by finding my passion throughout fitness. When I was 15 I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was removed from exercise entirely. Due to the imbalance of my hormones, I was placed on medication for hyperthyroidism and high blood pressure. The medication I was given had side effects and I had gained about 40+ pounds in a two-month period. That proved to me that I needed to work harder, remain patient, and never give up on my goals and focus myself entirely around fitness and my eating habits. Thankfully I was able to overcome hyperthyroidism as I have been clear for three years now. I strongly believe that exercise is medicine and when instilled properly can be life changing. My goal is to help my clients achieve their fitness goals in the safest most effective way with foundational exercises emphasizing proper form and movement patterns. Currently, I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in order to further understand exercise science and how to apply the concepts to better assist my clients in reaching their fitness goals. If you give me 100% I guarantee you I will give you 110%!
